If you have a sewer issue, call Robert. It's just that simple. Robert is the guy all the other sewer people call when they run into trouble, he's that good and experienced. The house I bought in August was built in 1954, it had a type of sewer piping called Orangeburg, which city of Tacoma does not require disclosure of. Orangeburg is basically a multi-layer paper tube that's been soaked in tar to waterproof it. It has a longevity of about 35-50 years. My Orangeburg started blistering in November, which meant that the sewer waste was slowing down. Robert came out, ran a camera and let me know that the blistering wasn't terrible at that time but it was all going to have to be replaced. I had 80 ft of Orangeburg to replace with PVC through pipe bursting, and another 80 ft of concrete piping which was silting up and needed CIPP lining. Robert gave me a really good quote. But I wanted to hold off as long as possible because it wasn't going to be cheap even with his excellent quote. My luck ran out in April, and I had to do the repair. When he opened up my sewer system, we discovered that the Orangeburg ran under a concrete pad under the shed in my backyard, which the city schematics did not show. Robert was able to tear the shutdown and the concrete pad out inrecord time, even though it was significantly more complicated than just a regular pipe bursting. All throughout it he kept me appraised of what was going on, we worked out solutions to problems that cropped up (there were lots of other issues that came up and I won't bore you with the details), he kept city of Tacoma in the loop, and it was all professionally done. Everything works great now and I don't have to worry about my sewer system for the next hundred years. Do yourself a favor: call Robert if you have sewer issues. He's the guy you want.

Before I even called Robert, two of my direct neighbors recommended his company. When he showed up onsite to give a quote, one of my neighbors saw him and greeted him with warm arms. I knew I found the right person, then and there. Robert walked me through the details of the job, was always timely in communication, and provided photos of the work in the process. It can be an intimidating process to spend so much money on an investment in your house but I feel lucky to have been able to use him and his crew for this work. Definitely recommend you call him if you have any sewer lining needs. Thanks Robert!

Robert worked with me on my 1911 house with its original clay sewer pipe. A sewer is a big expenditure and he gave me a fair bid. I went through the city of Tacoma for assistance in paying my unplanned necessary new sewer. Robert and his team were professional and hard working. Robert completed the job and was very patient waiting for the loan from the city to come through so I could pay him. Thank you Robert and your team!

It's a real pleasure to write the best review I can for Robert Ayers and his team! From diagnosis of our sewer problem to the final completion of the job Robert communicated directly and honestly about the cost, the recommended process, and the timeline of the work. His quote was one of two of the lowest bids (we got five). Our 100 year north end Tacoma home has a particularly long and complicated old sewer, so Robert's consistent personal attention and presence onsite was hugely comforting. He kept us well informed about the process-- from the application and receipt of the permit to the timeline and verdict of the city inspector's pre- and post-inspections (all positive as he'd predicted!). Throughout the process he responded instantly to my emails /messages, always maintaining a level of professionalism that is often hard to find these days. He explained the process of lining the sewer and was present the entire time of this complicated event. Rob and his team worked seamlessly together always treating each other with respect. It is hard to express just how delighted and relieved we are with the result! All cleaned up and no damage to our beloved garden! Being a highly experienced owner-operated local company meant we benefited from Robert's knowledge of the area and the city system, but mostly from his deep personal integrity and commitment to doing the best job at the fairest price he can. Thanks, Rob and your team! It truly has been a great pleasure working with you!
